Indonesia Sinks 38 Vessels

Indonesian authorities sank 38 fishing vessels that were caught for illegal fishing.

According to media reports, 34 of the vessels are foreign and 4 are Indonesian vessels.

The sunken vessels include the ones from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines.

All the sunken vessels were caught in illegal fishing or for having forbidden fishing equipment.

The sinking took place on six locations across Indonesia.

Officials said that the vessels could act as an artificial reefs for fish.
