Inpex takes Solstad Farstad’s PSV duo for Ichthys ops
Inpex Australia has awarded contracts to Solstad Farstad for the provision of two offshore supply vessels for the Ichthys LNG Project in Australia.
The contracts are for the 2006-built platform supply vessel Far Swan and the 2014-built platform supplier Sea Tortuga. Both vessels will operate in Australian waters on the Ichthys LNG Project, the vessel owner said on Friday.
The contract for Sea Tortuga will start during April 2018 for a period of five months firm, with further three one-month options. The vessel is of an STX 05-L CD Design.
The contract for Far Swan started on April 4, 2018 for one month firm, followed by five one-month options. Far Swan is of a VS 470 MK II Design.
Kenneth Lande, EVP – Strategic Regions Segment of Solstad Farstad, said: “The addition of the Sea Tortuga and Far Swan supplements Solstad Farstad’s participation on the Ichthys LNG Project, with the Far Scorpion and Far Sword already working on long-term contracts for Inpex in Australia.”
