Iona Energy COO to step down

Iona Energy Inc. announces that Alan Curran, Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) of the Company, has tendered his resignation.

Curran will be assuming a CEO role with a North Sea industry peer. Curran will stay with the Company as COO for up to three months in order to enable an orderly transition. Iona plans to provide an update on a new COO in the near future.

The Company also announces that Phillip Oldham, formerly Managing Director of Nexen UK, will be assisting Iona in the Company’s plan to elevate its capacity for execution and growth through operatorship in the North Sea basin. As such, Phil brings valuable executive level broad business and commercial North Sea experience with respect to operatorship, joint ventures, new business operations, supply chain management and access to infrastructure.
