Ireland: Island Shipping Adds New Multi Cat to Its Fleet

Island Shipping has acquired a 22 Metre Multi Category Vessel to be called the Island Kestrel. Built by Neptune Marine Service in Holland, the Eurocarrier 2209 is the standard bearer for the multicat type vessel.

A highly versatile and manoeuvrable vessel, this shallow draft, twin screw multicat is perfect for a variety of marine operations to include towage, salvage, barge, and anchor handling, dredge support fuel and fresh water supply; survey, sampling and dive support. Equipped with powerful deck machinery, ample deck space and a bow roller, the vessel is equally at home on an offshore windfarm, dredging or port construction project.
