Island Offshore Expands Fleet with Gas Operated OSV (Norway)

Today, Island Offshore took delivery of the MV Island Crusader from STX OSV, Brevik. It is the 20th vessel in the fleet that is operated by Island Offshore Management AS and it is the 7th of the UT 776 type.

This is hull no. 765 and has the designation UT 776 CDG, where G stands for gas operation. It is the first offshore supply vessel in the world to operate in DP II without using diesel. The hull was built at STX OSV Braila, Romania and equipped at STX OSV in Brevik.
