Chugoku Electric Buys Extra LNG for October-March

Japanese utility Chugoku Electric Power Co has purchased the additional 240,000 tonnes of LNG it had planned to procure for the October-March period, Reuters reported.

Recently, Chugoku Electric said it expects to purchase four additional LNG cargoes totalling 240,000 tonnes than its initial plan, to make up for lost nuclear output during the peak winter season.

The Chugoku Electric Power Co  is headquartered in Hiroshima and it has a total electricity generating capacity of 11,986 megawatts.
