Order Booked for Highly Appreciated Mitsui’s 56 Bulker

Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) has secured an order to build one 56,000 dwt dry bulk carrier with the price tag of $26 mln for Malaysian Bulk Carriers (MBC). The vessel will be delivered in the first half of 2015.

This vessel is a handy-max type bulk carrier with a huge cargo hold capacity over 70,000 m3. This 56,000 dwt type bulk carrier series of MES is widely called “Mitsui’s 56” and is highly appreciated in the market. More than 170 units of this series have been ordered from MES.
