Jinling Shipyard Wins Car Carrier Order

China-based Jinling Shipyard Heavy has received an order from Anji Automotive Logistics Co. for construction of two 3,800 ceu pure car/truck carriers (PCTCs).

Under the contract, signed on April 9, the ships are slated for delivery in 2017.

The value of the order has not been disclosed.

The ships will be designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute and classed by China Classification Society (CCS).

The ships will feature energy saving solutions and will meet the Greenship II class notation, the shipbuilder said.

In 2014, Angie Automotive ordered two 2,000 ceu  PCTCs at Jinling Shipyard which are taking shape at the yard at the moment.
