Karsten Moholt to work on Songa rigs

Karsten Moholt AS, a specialist in electro-mechanical machinery that serves energy, offshore, shipping and subsea businesses, has been awarded a framework agreement from Songa Offshore.

The agreement is for inspection, monitoring, service and repair of rotating electrical equipment on all of Songa Offshore’s rigs on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).

According to Offshore.no, the contract has a duration of five years including options and a total estimated value of NOK 75 million ($9.4 million) for the entire contract period.

Offshore Energy Today has reached out to Karsten Moholt seeking confirmation and more info about the contract with Songa; however, we are yet to receive the company’s response.

In an e-mail sent to Offshore Energy Today, Karsten Moholt confirmed the contract award.

Karsten Moholt CEO, Linn Cecilie Moholt, also added: “We are very happy that Songa Offshore has awarded us this long agreement, and we look forward to good cooperation in the years to come.”
