KBR wins G2 LNG FEED contract

KBR on Tuesday said it has been awarded a contract by G2 LNG to perform FEED engineering for a two-train LNG facility in Cameron Parish Louisiana.

Under the deal, KBR will provide Federal Energy Regulatory Commission FEED and FERC report pre-filing services to support the development of a grassroots LNG facility of a 14 million metric tons per year of liquefaction and export capabilities on the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Louisiana.

The LNG engineer informed it will provide the technical documentation required by the FERC during the pre-filing process and perform FEED engineering using Air Products and Chemicals technology.

G2 LNG informed it is currently in advanced discussions with long-term customers in China, Europe and the Caribbean.

The project was granted a license to transport LNG to FTA countries in July this year and expects commencement of delivery by early 2020.
