KCA Deutag wins 3-year extension in UK North Sea

kca-deutag-wins-3-year-extension-in-uk-north-seaInternational drilling and engineering contractor, KCA Deutag, has secured contract extension for drilling on four platforms in the UK North Sea.

KCA Deutag said the client was a major North Sea operator, without revealing the name. It said the contract was a three year extension.

The contract is for the provision of drilling operations and maintenance services.  There is also a further two-year extension option.

Rune Lorentzen, President of Offshore and RDS said: “We are delighted to be awarded this contract which cements a long standing relationship.  In today’s highly competitive marketplace, our priority is not just to deliver best in class drilling for our clients but also to work with them to deliver excellent value in this low oil price environment.”

The company did not reveal any further details on the terms of the contract.
