KN approves LNG terminal operations transfer to SGD terminalas

Klaipedos Nafta, Lithuanian liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal operator, has approved the transfer of terminal operations to its unit SGD terminalas.

In a previous statement, the company said it has created a unit to which it plans to transfer the operation of the terminal at the start of July.

On Monday, Klaipedos Nafta said its board of directors has approved the transfer.

The decision will come into force following the approval of shareholders and the approval of Lithuania’s ministry of finance.

Lithuania, the largest of the three Baltic nations started importing LNG via the FSRU Independence located in the port of Klaipėda in December 2014.
