Kosmos Energy appoints new board member

Oil and gas company Kosmos Energy has named a new member of its board of directors.

Kosmos said on Thursday that Lisa Davis joined its board of directors, effective Wednesday, November 6. 2019.

Davis is a senior executive with more than 30 years of extensive experience in oil, gas, power generation, renewable energy, and manufacturing.

She currently serves as a member of the managing board of Siemens and as a member of the board of directors of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy.

Davis was appointed to the Siemens board in August 2014 and is responsible for the company’s Power and Gas Operating company, which includes Power Generation, Power Services, Oil and Gas, Transmission, and New Fuels.

Before joining Siemens, Davis served as an EVP of downstream strategy, portfolio, and alternate energy for Shell.

From 2000 to 2012, she served in various capacities for Shell, including refining operations, supply and Trading, as well as lubricants, bulk fuels sales, and marketing.

Davis began her career in the oil and gas industry with Chevron, and then at Texaco Refining and Marketing.
