Liquiline Wins Another E.ON Contract (Sweden)

Liquiline announced that it has entered into a contract with E.ON Biofor Sverige AB, in addition to having extended an earlier contract with E.ON Gas Sverige AB.

E.ON is one of the world’s largest private energy companies, and it is with great pleasure we announce yet another contract with this energy group“, Liquiline said in a press release today . The new agreement has been signed with E.ON Biofor Sverige AB, which is the company in charge of building and operating biogas and natural gas filling stations in Sweden. This is the second contract that E.ON signs with Liquiline.

As with the first contract, Liquiline shall deliver a so-called “LCNG station”, where the gas will be supplied and stored with liquid natural gas (LNG) or liquefied biogas (LBG) at a temperature of -160°C, and will then be converted into high pressure compressed gas with a pressure of 250-300 barg before use. Due to customer requirements, the technical solution has been modified slightly in order to further increase the possibility of redundancy, high uptime and ease of operation. The station shall be up and running in the 2nd quarter of 2012. The station will be built in Stockholm.

It is with great pleasure that we receive yet another order from such a large and reputable company as E.ON. We are very pleased to see that even though we are still in the building phase of the first station we have still received confidence to also supply E.ON’s next LCNG gas filling station. This tells us that we are regarded as a company with expertise in both liquid and compressed gases, as well as a company that can live up to demanding design and implementation requirements” says Dag Lilletvedt, CEO and founder of Liquiline.

In addition to this new contract with E.On Biofor Sverige AB, the technical solution on the first station with E.On Gas Sverige AB has been modified slightly in order to make the two stations basically similar. The first station shall be operational in the first quarter of 2012, and Liquiline is on track on this delivery.

The technical solution is a newly developed design by Liquiline. In addition to these two stations being technology and energy projecst, they are also environmental projects. That cars and taxis in Stockholm can be driving on biogas or natural gas instead of gasoline and diesel fuel contributes towards reduced emissions of CO2, NOx, SOx and particulates. The station will contribute in bringing in needed gas into Stockholm, the capitol of Sweden.
