LNG Canada: EA Public Comment Period Closes December 13

LNG Canada, a joint venture comprised of Shell, KOGAS, Mitsubishi and PetroChina, is undergoing a thorough environmental assessment (EA), as required by federal and provincial legislation.

One of the first steps in the environmental assessment (EA) process is to develop Application Information Requirements (AIR), a document that describes the studies, methods, and information that will be required in LNG Canada’s future Application for an Environmental Assessment Certificate.

This step also includes a 30-day public comment period hosted by the EAO to seek comments on the draft AIR, which began on November 13.

Comments must be submitted to the EAO by the close of the comment period on December 13 at midnight.
