Lockheed Martin Shows Marlin AUV System (VIDEO)

The Lockheed Martin Marlin® Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) System is advancing subsea inspections for the oil and gas industry by providing faster, safer, economical, and more efficient inspections compared to using divers or tethered remotely operated vehicles.

The Marlin System autonomously inspects subsea structures and generates hi-resolution, 3-D, geo-referenced models. The Marlin System completed the first commercial autonomous subsea structure inspections in the Gulf of Mexico in the summer of 2012.
