DSME signed a deal on Tuesday, saying that the vessel, currently known as Hull No. 2504, will have a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

The vessel will be built at DSME’s Geoje Okpo shipyard and is set for delivery in the first quarter of 2022.

DSME noted that the four LNG carriers ordered at the shipyard this year have all come from Maran Gas Maritime.

The shipyard added that it is currently discussing additional orders from Maran Gas for LNG carriers in the future.

So far this year, DSME’s orders are totaling around $3.1 billion, including the four LNG carriers and six super-large crude oil carriers.
