MARKOS Sees Jump in Nacelle Orders

Since MARKOS (Polish GRP manufacturer) opened their fourth production hall at the end of 2013, the total order volume for nacelles (including hub covers) jumped up to 14 sets per week and employment increased to almost 400 people.

Nacelles are being produced separately from their other products such as lifeboats, rescue boats, RIBs or fishing farms.

Manufactured wind generator casings are for onshore and offshore wind turbines, designed for wind generators from 2MW up to 6MW and are distributed all across the globe.

Each one of the 5 different models being produced are specific to customers’ requirements. Orders placed in MARKOS were subjected to several audits, technical agreements and visits. Based on customer specifications and documentation, and variations to the scope of installed equipment or manufacturing method – MARKOS use hand laminating technology or a vacuum resin infusion processes.

“All the efforts of our R&D Department, Lean Manufacturing Leaders and all the employees makes MARKOS is a global player of GRP products,” said Mr Cezary Koseski (CEO).
