MCG: First Maximus data processing starts. Geoex to invest in project

MultiClient Geophysical, an international marine seismic data provider, has acquired more than 2,000 km on the 31,600 km Maximus 2D Multi-Client survey in Mexico, and processing of first data has started with DownUnder GeoSolution (DUG) in Houston.

MCG started operations on the Maximus survey on July 25, 2015. The program comprises 31,600 km of seismic lines covering 1, 2, 3 and 4th round blocks in the Campeche Deep Basin.

According to MCG, fast-track products will soon be available from the survey and final products will be processed in both time and depth. The company adds that survey is supported by the oil industry.

MCG has informed that Geoex International will finance part of the project offshore Mexico.

Tom Wolden, CEO said: “Geoex International is a geophysical and geological service company with focus on Multi-Client projects. MCG will operate, manage the project and wholly commercialize the data, in accordance with the CNH rules and regulations, while Geoex International will add value to the project through their experienced professional team in addition to opening up other investment possibilities for both parties in Mexico.”
