MHB lands Saudi Aramco, Woodside jobs

Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering Holdings Berhad (MHB) and TechnipFMC have signed a long-term agreement with Saudi Aramco. In addition, MHB has secured a contract for fabrication of the Pluto water handling module for Woodside from TechnipFMC.

MHB’s subsidiary, Malaysia Marine and Heavy Engineering (MMHE), in consortium with TechnipFMC has confirmed the award of the long-term agreement with Saudi Aramco, which was signed during Saudi Aramco’s In-Kingdom Total Value Add (IKTVA) Annual Forum in Dammam, Saudi Arabia on November 26, 2018.

This agreement, valid for six years with option to extend for another six years, covers engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, and installation of offshore facilities in support of Saudi Aramco’s offshore maintain potential program, and other works which will be executed within Saudi Arabia waters.

MHB and its partner will be looking at certain scope to be performed in Saudi Arabia, supporting the on-going Saudization initiative.

Wan Mashitah Wan Abdullah Sani, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MHB, commented, “We are excited to start our partnership with Saudi Aramco and to support their offshore development programs.”

In addition, MHB said it had won a contract for fabrication of the Pluto water handling module from TechnipFMC.

Upon completion, the module will be installed on Woodside Energy’s existing Pluto Alpha gas production platform, located offshore Western Australia. The module is targeted for completion in fourth quarter of 2020.
