M&I Electric power solutions delivered to two LNG projects in Texas

American Electric Technologies’ unit M&I Electric recently dispatched power delivery solutions for two liquefied natural gas projects in Texas.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, M&I Electric shipped power distribution center (PDC) for the power generation, distribution, and control of a new 100,000 gallon per day natural gas liquefaction and distribution facility in Texas.

The plant will produce LNG from Eagle Ford Shale feedstock as fuel for drilling, pressure pumping, power generation, trucking, rail, mining and other industrial applications.

In a separate delivery, M&I Electric dispatched medium voltage switchgear for a first liquefaction train of an LNG facility located south of Dallas, Texas. The facility will have initial production capacity of 30 million gallons of LNG per year and serve transportation and industrial end-users in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
