Project & Tenders

A preliminary agreement to build a floating LNG regasification terminal and a 400-megawatt power station was signed between Senelec of Senegal, Nebras Power of Qatar and Japan’s Mitsui & Co.

Fuel prices have hit Senegal’s power utility, and the company is looking to introduce LNG into its energy mix, Reuters reports.

According to a statement issued following the signature of the memorandum of understanding, Senelec stressed the intention of the Senegalese government to boost the country’s growth and secure power supply.
