Mozah due at South Hook LNG next week

One of the world’s largest LNG tankers in the world, the 266,000 cbm Mozah, is scheduled to arrive at the UK’s South Hook import terminal next week.

The Q-Max vessel, carrying a cargo of the chilled gas from Qatar, is expected to arrive at one of Europe’s biggest LNG receiving terminals on June 25, port data shows.

Mozah is 345m long – equivalent to three and a half football pitches, and the vessels engines produce the same power as 590 Mini cars or 900 Smart cars.

The fuel tanks could carry enough fuel to power a Smart car for 112 Million miles, almost 4,500 times around the world, or over a 3rd of the way to the moon, according to Shell’s website.
