NAUTA Selected as Subcontractor for Two Trawlers

NAUTA Yard has signed contracts for building two partly outfitted fishing vessels/trawlers for the Danish client Karstensen Shipyard A/S.

The first vessel, scheduled for delivery in April 2015, is a 69.95 m pelagic trawler which was ordered by Haugagut AS.

The main dimensions of the Trawler:

Length over-all : 69.95 m

Length between perp : 63.60 m

Breadth : 15.00 m

Depth to shelter deck: 9.20 m

The second vessel, with an overall length of 77.25 m, beam of 15.20 m and a depth to shelter deck of 9.20 m, will be a modern purser/trawler. The design is result of close cooperation between Nyholmen AS and Karstensen (owners and shipyard) and reflects focus on innovative solutions securing efficiency, comfort, safety and reliability. The vessel, to be named Kvannøy, is the owner’s third newly built vessel since 2000.
