Navig8 Awarded Green Flag by Port of Long Beach

On May 30, 2013, Navig8 was recognized and honored by the Port of Long Beach for participating in the Green Ship Program.

Navig8 was chosen amongst the select shipping lines that have had the greatest positive impact on Southern California’s air quality in 2012 by complying with the Port’s Green Flag Program. By awarding the Green Flag award to Navig8, the port acknowledged the efforts that the company has made to improve the environment. In the year 2013, Navig8 has achieved 100% compliance (YTD 2013) with the Green Ship program.

The award was presented jointly by the Mayor of Long Beach, Executive Director of the Port of Long Beach and the Harbor Commissioners.

The other shipping lines awarded during the ceremony were major container lines – NYK, MOL, Evergreen, Maersk, Wan Hai, Matson and APL. Amongst the tanker owners, Navig8, BP Shipping, Alaska Tanker Company & OSG were conferred.
