New director to join FAR board

Australian oil and gas exploration and development company FAR Limited has proposed to appoint Tim Woodall as a non-executive director of the board.

According to FAR’s statement on Tuesday, Woodall brings over 25 years’ experience in the global oil and gas sector across investment banking and senior executive roles with exploration and production companies.

He was most recently founder and Managing Director of Miro Advisors, an independent corporate advisory firm, following his role as CEO of RISC, an oil and gas technical consulting firm.

Prior to these roles, Woodall was Chief Financial Officer of Energy Partners, a New Orleans-based E&P company; Executive Director of the Energy Division at UBS’s London office where he originated and executed M&A and capital raising transactions for European oil and gas clients; and a Director in Credit Suisse’s New York oil and gas team. Prior to his time overseas, Woodall worked with Woodside Energy and Santos.

FAR chairman, Nic Limb, said, “Tim is a well-known and accomplished businessman who is recognized for his leadership within the Australian oil and gas industry and I am delighted to be welcoming someone of Tim’s calibre and experience to the Board.

“His commercial knowledge and experience will be highly valuable to the board as FAR moves into the exploitation phase following the significant discoveries offshore Senegal. FAR has big ambitions for growth and the creation of shareholder value and Tim will provide the company with knowledge and experience commensurate with those ambitions. We wholeheartedly welcome Tim to the board of FAR.”
