The order includes options for three more 63,500 dwt newbuildings, according to the data from Asiasis.

The value of the deal has not been disclosed, however, the firm ships from the order are said to be scheduled for delivery in 2020.

The Chinese shipbuilder is already building ten Ultramaxes for Nisshin, with four newbuildings scheduled for completion next year and six more following suit in 2020.

The latest bulker newbuildings are being added to the company’s 40-strong bulker newbuilding tally spread across South Korean, Japanese and Chinese shipbuilders, data from VesselsValue shows. Nisshin also has 10 tankers on order.
