Transmed Shipping Acquires Three Panamax Bulkers

Greek shipping company Transmed Shipping has bought three 84,000 dwt Panamax bulk carriers from Japan-based Nisshin Shipping for USD 16.75 million each, Vessels Value data shows.

The ships in question are the Mangan Trader 1, the Mangan Trader 2 and The Mangan Trader 3.

All three vessels were built by South Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) in 2013.

The 45,955 gross ton bulkers feature a length of 229 meters and a width of 32 meters.

The three sister ships are sailing under the flag of the Philippines.

Market value of each of the three bulk carriers stands at USD 19.16 million, according to VesselsValue.

In November 2012, Nisshin Shipping purchased the three bulker newbuildings originally ordered by Taiwan’s Today Makes Tomorrow (TMT) for around USD 25 million per vessel.
