Nominees for Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award announced

The three Nominees for the Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award have been announced.

The jury consisting of Jan Hoegee (Director Maritime & Offshore, TNO), Saskia Rijtema (COO, Heerema Marine Contractors), Ronald Quik (Sr. Sector M&A Manager, ABN AMRO Bank N.V.), Joop Roodenburg (CEO, Huisman) and Jasper Vis (Country Manager NL, DONG Energy) concluded that these three impressive submissions should compete for the title winner of the Best Innovation in Offshore Energy Award 2017.

The three best submissions and thereby Nominees are:

  • Barge Master with their ‘Floating motion compensated drilling’
  • Gusto MSC with their ‘NG-20000X with Telescopic Leg Crane’
  • Next Ocean with their ‘Next Ocean Wave Predictor’

The winner will be announced during the Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner and Awards Show on Monday 9 October in the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum) in Amsterdam.

Other submissions came from Ampelmann, Bibby Marine Services Ltd, Bosch Rexroth BV, GBM Works B.V., Green Pin® (a Van Beest brand), Inovatum Lifting AS, InterDam BV, Kahoku Communication Industry Co., Ltd., Kenz Figee, Nedland BV, OFFSHORE MARINE MANAGEMENT ONBOARD, Petrofac Training Services, SeaSpyder, SIMWAVE BV and Vryhof.

In addition to the awards ceremony, this black tie gala dinner at the impressive National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam will serve a culinary dinner with musical interludes by Junior Jazz Unlimited (jazz bigband) and speeches by dignitaries. The evening will be hosted by Pep Rosenfeld, Founder of Boom Chicago.
