Nominees for Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award announced

The three Nominees for the Offshore Energy Young Engineer Award have been announced.

The jury consisting of Jan van der Tempel (Owner, De Oude Bibliotheek Academy), Pieter Swart (Offshore Pipeline Principals EMEA, Shell Global Solutions), Robert Plat (Principal Offshore Consultant, Royal IHC) and Jaap den Ouden (Den Ouden Waterside Industries) expressed that the level of talent in this industry is very high. The three Nominees demonstrated outstanding achievements in the offshore energy industry.

The three best submissions and thereby Nominees are:

• Dries Lammens, Jan de Nul Groep

• Ben Arntz, GBM Works B.V.

• Martijn van Exsel, Boskalis

The winner will be announced during the Offshore Energy Opening Gala Dinner and Awards Show on Monday, October 9, in the National Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum) in Amsterdam.

Other submissions came from Boskalis, C-Job Naval Architects, KCI the engineers B.V., and Van Oord.

In addition to the awards ceremony, this black tie gala dinner at the impressive National Maritime Museum in Amsterdam will serve a culinary dinner with musical interludes by Junior Jazz Unlimited (jazz bigband) and speeches by dignitaries. The evening will be hosted by Pep Rosenfeld, Founder of Boom Chicago.
