‘Normand Reach’ Reaches Norway

The hull of the Normand Reach construction support vessel has arrived in Norway where it will be outfitted.

The vessel’s hull was launched on December 20th in a yard in Romania, and it took it a month to reach VARD’s Aukra yard in Norway.

The vessel, owned by Solstad Offshore, has an overall length of 121 meters, 23 meters beam, 1300 square meters of deck, 7,2×7,2m working moonpool.

After the outfitting works are completed it will be equipped with a 250 ton subsea construction crane.

The integrated ROV hangar features handling equipment for both over-side and moonpool launch, enabling ROV launch in high sea states. The vessel has accommodation for 100 people and is designed according to the latest environmental standards with focus on comfort and fuel consumption, and complies with DNV’s Clean Design notation.

Upon delivery, the ‘Normand Reach’ will begin its contract with DOF Subsea. It will mainly be used to support DOF’s operations in the North Sea.
