Norton Rose Fulbright Boosts Singapore Office

Norton Rose Fulbright, the international legal practice, said that oil and gas partner currently based in Perth, Alex Cull, is expected to rejoin the Norton Rose Fulbright Singapore office in August 2013. Alex relocated to the company’s Perth office in 2011, after working for over 10 years in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Alex works for a wide range of clients along the full length of the petroleum value chain. His primary focus is advising on acquisitions and divestments (including farmouts and swaps), joint operations, and commercialising gas through pipeline and LNG project development and offtake arrangements. He also has extensive experience in LNG and petroleum supply and trading, and in reserves based and project financing.

Jeff Smith, Head of Southeast Asia, commented:

Alex is highly experienced in oil and gas, with upstream and downstream proficiency and strong corporate energy experience. His focus will be to further develop our energy practice across the APAC region, especially in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.”

Alex Cull commented:

Singapore’s importance as a regional hub for energy, especially oil and gas, continues to grow. We’re expecting further substantial investment both into and out from Asia. It’s an exciting time for the oil and gas industry in the region, and I’m looking forward to returning to the Singapore office.
