Norway: FoundOcean Wins Troll A Pipeline Stabilisation Project

FoundOcean is awarded the freespan correction contract for the Troll P12 Project in the North Sea by Subsea7

FoundOcean will manufacture and install two fabric formwork grout bags to support the expected freespan of the new 36” pipeline at the approach to the Troll A Platform, in the Norwegian Sector of the North Sea. The worksite is in approximately 330m water depth.

Martin Hardy, Technical Director for FoundOcean comments, “We are very pleased to be working with Subsea7 once more. FoundOcean has completed over 160 fabric formwork projects since 1980 and we’ve clearly demonstrated our expertise when it comes to installing fabric formwork at depth.” FoundOcean currently holds the world record for the deepest deployed fabric formwork at 1,244m, off the Ivory Coast, West Africa.

The pipeline support will be installed by ROV over two mobilisations in Q1, 2011.
