Havyard Chooses PG for New Offshore Construction Vessel

Back in February, Forland Shipping and Havyard Group signed a major new contract for the construction of a new subsea vessel. The vessel named Havyard Leirvik (H/N 114) of Havyard 857 OCV design is now under construction and will be comprehensively equipped for all pumping applications by PG Marine.

Delivery commence Q1/2013.

Length overall – 110 m

Breadth – 22 m

Dead weight – 4750 t

Speed – 14.5 knots

Deck area – 1000 square metres

Accommodation – 106 persons

In addition to Havyard Design & Engineering delivering design, and Havyard Ship Technology in Leirvik constructing the vessel, Havyard Power & Systems shall also deliver a wide range of products and services for the project, navigational system amongst other things. Moreover, Norwegian Electric Systems, where Havyard is a co-owner, will be responsible for delivery of diesel-electric propulsion.
