Norway: Statoil Awards Aibel $25 Million Contract for Gullfaks C Works

Statoil has awarded Aibel a contract for modifications on the Gullfaks C platform. The modifications are to be undertaken in order to connect the Pan/Pandora satellite field to the processing facilities on Gullfaks C. This is the first of a number of fast-track projects that Statoil plans to undertake.

‘We are grateful for this contract, and will make every effort to undertake the work in a satisfactory manner,’ says Jan Skogseth, President and CEO in Aibel AS.

The value of the contract is in the region of 150 MNOK. The project will occupy around 50 people, and it will be managed from Aibel’s office in Bergen. The project will also provide work for Aibel’s employees in Haugesund, for both fabrication and onshore work.

The project’s duration will be for almost 2 years and the work will commence immediately.
