Oilfield services company Wood Group has been awarded a new frame agreement by Wintershall to tender for the provision of modification and maintenance services to assets in the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS).

The four-year frame agreement has been signed with Wintershall’s Norwegian subsidiary, Wintershall Norge. The deal has two three-year extension options and is effective immediately. Services will be delivered from Wood Group’s offices in Sandefjord, Stavanger, Bergen, Oslo and Moss.

Robin Watson, Wood Group Chief Executive, said on Wednesday: “We will bring our depth of knowledge of the Norwegian sector to this new contract with Wintershall Norge where our focus will be on working collaboratively with our client to deliver maintenance and modification services, which enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their assets.”

News of the deal with Wintershall, comes on the back of a contract signed by Wood Group on Tuesday with Dong Energy, to support the Danish energy company’s offshore oil installations in UK, Denmark, and Norway.
