Ocean Yield Extends Lewek Connector Charter
Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner Ocean Yield has extended the bareboat charter contract for the subsea construction vessel Lewek Connector.
A related company of Ezra had taken the Lewek Connector on a short-term charter contract in February this year after Ocean Yield terminated a charter with EMAS Chiyoda Subsea (ECS). The charter was then extended with Connector 1 AS (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ocean Yield) in May for a firm period of 3 months, plus 2 months option, at a rate of USD 40,000 per day.
Ocean Yield said on Monday that the current charter, which is running until October 15, 2017, has now been extended for a firm period until November 15, 2017.
In addition, the charterer, which has not been disclosed by Ocean Yield, has further option to extend the charter until December 23, 2017, at a rate agreed in May charter extension.
