OEEC: Terre Quanta cuts offshore equipment downtime
With only a week to go before the Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference kicks off in Amsterdam we’ve taken an opportunity to present you Terre Quanta.
Terre Quanta is a U.S. based start-up which will, along with ten other young companies have an opportunity to present its ideas and solutions to the international offshore industry audience next week in the Amsterdam RAI, as part of the annual Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.
As part of the important jubilee, the organizers have set-up a start-up zone where young companies can attract relevant audience.
One of these start-ups is, as already said, the Portland-based Terre Quanta, which is working on an analytics platform for offshore oil, gas, and renewable industries.
We’ve spoken to Gilbert Malinga, a Chief Technology Officer at Terre Quanta, looking to get a better insight into what the company does, and how it can help the offshore industry.
Malinga said: “We are developing an analytics platform for managing industrial assets (wind turbines, offshore platforms, subsea assets, production wells etc.) in real time using data collected from sensors deployed on the assets. The platform allows for efficient operation of the assets by minimizing equipment downtime while promoting optimal asset performance.”
According to Malinga, Terre Quanta is dedicated to tackling challenging problems in engineering while delivering value to its clients.
“Terre Quanta is dedicated to helping our clients create value from data while driving innovation in asset management,” Gilbert says.
The Chief Technology Officer feels the upcoming OEEC provides an excellent venue for Terre Quanta company to showcase its products and services to potential clients in the offshore industry.
Worth noting, the event organizers expect no less than 12 thousand offshore industry professionals to attend the event, meaning there’ll be plenty of opportunity for Terre Quanta to show what it can do.
Asked what kind of audience Terre Quanta aims to attract, Malinga said: “We would like to attract developers and operators of industrial assets on large capital projects. We are also interested in speaking with potential investors.”
