OEEC: “We’ll always have Paris”

Almost a year ago, in December 2015, Paris hosted a historic event, when world leaders gathered at COP21, also known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, and committed to tackling the climate change.

An agreement, some parts of it legally binding, was signed by 195 nations, who have pledged to try and keep the global warming going over 2 degrees celsius above pre-industrial levels.

So what happens next? Offshore Energy Exhibition and Conference to be held in Amsterdam this week will host a livestreamed talk-show discussing energy policy and strategy after the Paris climate deal.

The 30-minute talk show themed “We’ll always have Paris” will be held at Community Square, a new spot on the exhibition floor of the Amsterdam RAI, with speakers from Eneco, International Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP), and Follow This.

During the talk show, the participants will be talking about the current status of the COP21 deal, what governments are doing, and the role of the industry.
