“The Caspian area has a large number of business opportunities and has attracted the attention of the entire oil industry. Offshore Independents believes that it is crucial to be present in the area, but also realizes that it is vital to have a network on site, ” said the company in a press release.

Kurt Hendricks has been appointed as Branch Manager of this new affiliate. Hendricks has over 45 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry. He has worked and lived in the Caspian region for the past 10 years.

Hendricks said:“My experience in offshore, my huge network in the Caspian region combined with the services, skills and engineering manpower of Offshore Independents put this new office in pole position. Most of the global players are undertaking highly technical and quite complex projects here and lack engineering manpower. It’s quite common in this area that expertise as well as engineers are imported. That’s where Offshore Independents come into the picture. We can team up with the bigger players in this area, provide specialistic expertise from our Dutch office and import engineers for project execution.”
