Okra Energy names Flesan EPC contractor for its small-scale LNG plant

Okra Energy has awarded the engineering procurement and construction (EPC) contract for a small-scale natural gas liquefaction (ssLNG) facility in Peru to Flesan.

Okra Energy, through its Peruvian unit Lantera Energy, is constructing what is says to be the first small-scale LNG facility in Piura, northern Peru.

The LNG plant is 95 percent complete, and is due to be operational in July., Okra Energy said in its statement.

The entirety of the new facility’s supply of LNG has already been pre-sold to an international gas distributor. Three additional Okra Energy ssLNG facilities are also currently under contract for delivery in Peru.

The New York-based Okra Energy, earlier awarded the power generation contract for the facility to Flesan Energía.
