Singapore based COSCO Corporation Limited  has through its subsidiaries secured contracts valued at approximately USD 300 million to build one accommodation barge and seven bulk carriers.

COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd., has received orders from an unnamed European company to build one DP3 accommodation barge scheduled for delivery in 3Q2016.

The same shipyard also received orders from an undisclosed Asian company to build two 64,000DWT bulk carriers scheduled for delivery in 1H2016.

Additionally, the contract under the second option cited in the announcement COSCO issued on September 12, 2013 to build one 64,000DWT dry bulk carrier for a European company has been rendered effective.

The bulk carrier is scheduled for delivery in 2Q2017.

In addition, COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd., has been contracted by an Asian client to build two 82,000DWT bulk carriers scheduled for delivery in 4Q2015 and 1Q2016 respectively; and by a European company to build two 82,000DWT bulk carriers scheduled for delivery in 2Q2016 and 3Q2016 respectively.

The latest order goes in hand with the company’s busy schedule and recent announcements of a 4500m2 Livestock Carrier, Girolando Express’ delivery to its European buyer, as well as the status report issued on Octabuoy hull and the topside module building project, with the hull almost done, and the topside half way finished.
