Oriental Energy Orders Six VLGCs from Jiangnan Shipyard (China)

China Oriental Energy has ordered six very large gas carriers (VLGCs) from Jiangnan Shipyard, with an option for additional 10 to 16 units of the same vessel type, Sino Ship News reports.

Delivery is expected to begin late 2014.

Jiangnan Shipyard is part of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) located in Shanghai which builds, repairs and converts both civilian and military ships.
