Palladium, FarSounder Form Alliance (USA)

Palladium has announced an alliance with FarSounder, Inc., for the integration of their 3D Sonar systems into their new Integrated Glass Bridge system SiMON GOLD.

SiMON Gold is an extension of Palladium’s work with the Apple multi-touch devices. Simply using two fingers, the user can drag items from the menu bars, dynamically creating View Port(s), which allow for the resizing of items or frames, along with rotation, eventually creating a View Port exactly to the user needs.

“This is a perfect collaboration of technologies between Palladium and FarSounder”, said Michael Blake, President of Palladium. FarSounder, long known for their advanced 3D under water sonar for navigation and obstacle avoidance, is also fast becoming a global leader in shipboard security with their FS-SPS Ship Protection System. This multi-use system provides underwater threat detection while at anchor and navigation sonar while underway.

Michael goes on to say, “that for the past couple of years he has been working on the new product, SiMON Gold, and the FarSounder products complete one piece of the puzzle for this amazing system.”

SiMON Gold will debut at the Monaco Yacht Show, which runs from September 19th though the 22nd, and will be shown on their new Glass Bridge, along with a 42” mutli-touch Kiosk in the Dars Sud tent, booth # QS85.

FarSounder will be showing their FS-SPS Ship Protection System in the Dars Sud tent, booth # QS80, as well as launching their latest navigation products, the FarSounder-500 and FarSounder-1000.

“FarSounder and Palladium share a common goal of offering our companies leading-edge technologies in a turnkey Integrated Glass Bridge solution,” stated Cheryl M. Zimmerman, CEO of FarSounder. “Together, we offer the yacht market a sophisticated product, benefiting from the synergy and experience of both our companies.”
