Pasha Hawaii Adds Direct LA-Honolulu Weekly Service

Business & Finance

California-based shipping company Pasha Hawaii yesterday launched a new weekly service linking Los Angeles directly to Honolulu.

The LA-Hawaii Express (LHX) direct service will rotate two vessels that will call at Los Angeles every Wednesday, arriving in Honolulu every Sunday.

The LHX service complements the company’s existing CA-Hawaii Express (CHX) which calls at Honolulu, Oakland and Los Angeles. Shippers from the neighboring islands will be able to deliver and receive their cargo to and from LHX ships via barges, adding one or two days of additional transit.

”Our ten direct sailings per month from the Southern California sourcing market, plus our four sailings per month which include calls in both Los Angeles and Oakland, allow our customers to streamline their supply chains by keeping their inventories nimble and landed costs low,” said Chuck Patton, senior vice president of Pasha Hawaii.
