Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched another cargo of liquefied natural gas to Spain.

The cargo was loaded on April 14 on board the 136,600-cbm LNG carrier Galea and sent on its way to Spain, data from the state-owned Perupetro reveals.

However, the exact destination of the Galea has not been revealed by Perupetro.

This was the third cargo the Peruvian facility loaded in April and the second to go Spain.

With the latest cargo, Peru’s LNG export facility shipped 393 vessels in total, since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
