Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita shipped two cargoes to Spain earlier this week.

According to the data provided by the state-owned Perupetro, the cargoes were shipped on September 17 and 19.

The first cargo was loaded aboard the Methane Heather Sally LNG carrier with a carrying capacity of 144,613 cubic meters on September 17.

The second cargo, dispatched on September 19, was loaded aboard the 2015-built Maran Gas Lindos with a capacity to transport 159,800 cubic meters of the chilled fuel.

With the two cargoes, the Pampa Melchorita facility has dispatched three cargoes during the month of September.

In total, the export plant shipped 419 cargoes since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
