Peru LNG cargo heading for Mexico

Peru’s sole LNG export facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched its first July cargo of the chilled gas to Mexico.

Chevron’s carrier Asia Excellence, with a capacity of 160,000 cbm, departed from the liquefaction plant on July 5, according to PeruPetro.

The vessel is on its way to the Manzanillo import terminal with the estimated arrival on July 11, shipping data says.

This marks the 276th shipment of LNG to leave the Pampa Melchorita plant since the beginning of operations in 2010.
