Peru’s LNG export facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched a cargo of liquefied natural gas to China last week.

According to the data from the state-owned Perupetro, the 155,000-cbm GasLog Singapore loaded the cargo on August 24, and departed to China.

This is the first ever cargo GasLog Singapore picked up at Peru’s liquefaction and export plant.

The exact destination of the vessel has not yet been confirmed by Perupetro.

With the latest cargoes, Peru’s LNG export facility shipped 348 vessels in total, since it started operations in June 2010.

The 4.45 million tons per year gas liquefaction plant is located 170 kilometers south of Lima and receives gas via a 408-kilometer pipeline built across the Andes.
