Peru ships LNG cargo to Spain

The latest liquefied natural gas cargo to be loaded at the Peru LNG export plant has been dispatched to Spain.

The 173,600 cbm Castillo de Santisteban departed from the country’s only liquefaction facility on February 28, Perupetro data shows.

The first cargo that the facility at Pampa Melchorita sent to Spain this year was delivered to Enagas’ Cartagena LNG terminal, however, Perupetro has not revealed the exact destination of the latest shipment.

This is the first cargo that the 2010-build LNG carrier has loaded in Peru since March 2015.

With the latest vessel’s departure, the 4.4 mtpa Peru LNG plant exported 311 cargoes of liquefied natural gas since the start of operations in June 2010.
